Translation text:Thereupon Berthefried leapt on a horse and rode off to the town of Verdun, thinking that he would be safe in the oratory inside the church-house there, the more so as Bishop Ageric had his residence in this same house [...] Godegisel [...] re-formed his troops and put a cordon of armed men round the church-house.
