Translation text:Amongst the smoking villa roofs on the bank, I reach the point where the Sauer has the strength to roll. From there, between the jutting hills and valley depths, we glide on the river's swift-rolling waters to the Saar. I am carried to where the lofty walls of Trier stand clear, a noble city, likewise a capital of noble people.
